A little about the ‘A Word From Third’ duo…
We are two teachers in the trenches! We are both third grade teachers at the same intermediate school.
I’m Heather and I’ve been teaching since 2006 and have always been in third grade! I am married to my fabulous husband Chris and together we have 2 Kids, ages 2 and 4. I was fortunate to take a year off from teaching when each of my children were born. My hobbies include cooking, baking, reading, gardening, crafting, and going to the beach.
Stefanie has been teaching for 9 years, mostly in third grade, but she also has fifth grade experience. Last July she married the love of her life Stephen. Together they are expecting their first baby during the summer! It’s a girl! They also have 3 dogs and recently bought their first house together…with a pool! In her spare time Stefanie enjoys scrapbooking, photography, and hiking.
As teachers, we know that nobody truly has the summers “off!” We all work very hard for our students year round! Every summer we get to exhale for a minute and then push the restart button as a new school year begins!
