I don’t know about you, but the math program we use is….eeeeeh….a bit….BORING. I am not saying I don’t like it, because the kids do learn A LOT! But I will say that I quickly realized that I NEEDED to get my kids more “into” math during my small group time!
Little by little I have created math “crafts” that help my class say goodbye to the boredom of traditional math exercises, and hello to a world of fun while learning.
By incorporating different math crafts, I have made numbers come alive to my students.
Picture this: you put 3 versions of a math activity on your table and your class gets to choose the one they want to do. They are happy to choose. Then when they finish, they ask if they can do one of the other ones! I have even had students ask if they can TAKE HOME the third one! Math crafts are a win-win—educational and entertaining, proving that math isn’t just about practice worksheets!
Nearly all of my math crafts come with different I have bundled all of my third grade math crafts and put November, December and my Mega Bundle on sale for the next 3 days!
