Happy New Year! What a whirlwind this year has been! In third grade we are forging forward but we are still feeling the effects of the past few years on our students. Engaging Math Review
Easter Week: Use plastic eggs to your advantage! I don't know what it is, but when I cut up questions that we were going to do on a worksheet and stuff them in plastic eggs, kids go wild! This week we are studying for our math test on fractions, so I am cutting up fraction questions (you could even use paper task cards) and putting them around the room in plastic eggs. This past week we celebrated Read Across America week like many elementary schools around the country. We put our own spin on it and included some really diverse texts. Maker’s Monday: Gingerbread House Fact Families
Maker's Monday this week was the perfect blend! Multiplication and division fact families, easy to assemble art work, and a quick holiday bulletin board made for a great morning.
