It’s January! Can you Believe it?
We hope that you had a fantastic holiday break (I am certain it felt too short). Ours was full of extra snuggles with our own kids and the Christmas craziness.
While I don’t love the idea of vacation ending, it does renew my energy and allows me to revamp my approach! This week we sat down and looked at our scope and sequence and fleshed out the rest of the school year! Wild, right?
Real World Math Sale
I wanted to let you all know that I am having a New Year’s sale! I am offering my Real World Math resources for 20% off (until January 6th). These resources are a huge hit in my classroom and they are often my saving grace! I love that I can bring it to the copier and differentiate on the fly! I can copy addition/subtraction with no regrouping pages for my remdial students, regrouping practice for my group that needs help with regrouping, and multi-step problem solving for my extention group! I can make 3 different versions of the same type of work. I also love to print the “menu” out in color and slide it into a sheet protector for durability. Then I pop them into a binder until the next time we use them.
These resources are great for small group time, independent work, fast finishers, partner work, substitiute work, etc. Check them out here and save 20% off until Monday!
There are many choices including: Menu, Departments Store, Pet Store, Bakery, Garden Center and more!
New Years Resources
I also wanted to share a few of my New Years Resources with you as well. This week for “Maker’s Monday,” our classes are going to be setting their New Year’s resolutions and goals. They will each be creating a Resolution House where they will decide of goals for school, home, kindness, etc.
Another fun option is New Years Fact Family Houses (Multiplication & Division). These are similar to the Resolution Houses, but they focus on math fact families.
In my math fluency center this week and next, we will be doing New Years Multiplication Color By Code. Students can choose the appropriate level of challenge for them because their are 2 versions of each picture (facts 0-5 and facts 0-11).
New Years Freebie
You can also snag a New Years Paragraph Writing Freebie here. This is great to practice paragraph writing and includes a model to help students writing using 5 complete sentences. This resouce also includes several different templates and graphic organizers.
We hope that you all have a wonderful start to your New Year! We wish you happiness, health, and progress within your classroom and your own lives.
Cheers
Heather and Stefanie
