How comfortable are you with “Going Digital?” I thought I was pretty “Techy” when we went to remote learning…but was I?
Today I want to share a digital learning option with you that you might not know about. I have no clue what we will be doing when we all start the school year…completely back at school, home, or somewhere in between.
I had a great amount of success during remote learning this past spring…why was I successful? I found BOOM CARDS! I had heard about them before but never really looked into them while I was in the classroom. When we were all home in the spring, I looked into Boom Cards and learned why everyone was talking about them! They are SO EASY! My class LOVED them! They were quick and easy to create and customize to fit my class’ needs. I also liked that I could search and find sets that other people had made if I was in a time pinch (and let’s be honest, we were all in survival mode)!

My own kids at home loved to see Boom Cards on their daily assignment list! I am not sure if it is the “ding!” when they get it right, or if it is that it seems more like a game…but they were a big hit!
Never tried Boom Cards? Your students will LOVE them! In a nutshell, Boom Cards are digital, self-checking, interactive activities. Students are shown one question at a time and get instant feedback on their answers! Here is a quick video to show how they work.
| I recommend giving Boom Cards a try! Even if you don’t choose to create each kid a login, you can always have kids play using a “fastpin.” This is how I use Boom with my class. Kids can just click on the link and get extra practice without having to login at all. They can play/practice again and again! |
