Happy Sunday! I just wanted to quickly share a new math craft that I plan to put out for my fast finishers in math this week. As I shared here, I have the kids do math rotations during our small group time. Each student is in a group and they have a different task to complete each day while I pull a group to work with. After they complete their work from the “must do” side, they can choose something from the “may do” side (you can grab these slides in our FREE resource library).
This year I have a lot of students who LOVE to do crafts. I like to keep a craft option on the “may do” side so that those students who finish their work can practice their math skills AND practice the math skills they need more practice with. Last week I shared some 3D Valentine Solving Equation crafts and this week I am sharing a winter version. This will work in my class because it will allow students to practice even more! The best part is that I can put them in piles on the back counter and put names below each stack so that it is easily differentiated! Some students will be CHALLENGED while others might be completing some basic skills practice.
Check these out here if you are interested in using them with your class. They also make a cute bulletin board!
Have a great week!
