Hello there! It sure has been a whirlwind since our last post. I know that as teachers we are all trying to help out our students as they are missing their schoolwork and their daily routines. It is hard because here in our district, first they told us that they were not going to do any distance learning because of inequity of access for our students (some students don’t have access to internet, computers, ipads, etc). Now there are rumblings that we will be doing some form of distance learning because the length that we will be out is more than likely going to be longer than they thought.
So….I am working to help my students access some things via Google Classroom, and I have also sent families some printable options as well. I completely understand that many people might not have paper, ink, printers, etc. I figure, worst case they can complete the tasks verbally with their parents. I feel that for now, students should be just trying to keep their brains working and thinking.
I just added a prinable resouce for St. Patrick’s Day as a FREE resource (in our free resources library). All you have to do is sign up for our newsletter. This resource is a compliation of math activities and includes many different math skills. You are more than welcome to share them with families via email or post on a class website or google classroom. This resource is NOT digital, so kids can’t record their answers digitally. They can however print and/or share their answers verball with their parents.
I hope you can get some use out of it. I have shared it with my class online as well.
